Morgan Financial has been chosen among the first round of 2017 Florida Companies to Watch finalists announced by GrowFL last Friday. This award has been around for 7 years, and it honors 50 second-stage companies throughout the state of Florida for developing valuable products and services, enriching communities, broadening new industries, and creating quality jobs. Morgan Financial is honored to be the only mortgage lender in Brevard to be chosen as a finalist for the award.

Being chosen as a finalist is cause to look back on our past, present, and future as a company, allowing us to reflect on how we have grown and what we have accomplished as a mortgage lender in Brevard.

As we look back, one pivotal moment in our history stands out among the rest, as it prompted significant change in our course as a company. It happened in the shadow of the recession as we made the transition from mortgage broker to mortgage lender in 2008.

With the housing crisis well under way, we had a clear view of the flaws that were prevalent in the mortgage industry, witnessing the downfall of brokers who failed to adapt to the changing times. Refusing to fall victim to the recession, we made the decision to reinvent ourselves entirely as a mortgage lender, holding ourselves to the highest standards. This was the moment that allowed us to truly discover our niche of service: the VA loan.

We brought our commitment to the Brevard military community and used our expertise in VA loans to serve veterans, active duty military, and their families. Furthermore, by hiring employees with extensive VA experience, we are now able to provide excellent rates and terms for our military community, allowing them to have access to the homes and mortgages they deserve.

It is nominations like these that remind us why we do what we do and keep us striving to do our absolute best as a mortgage lender in Brevard. The winners will be announced in mid-July, and the honorees will be invited to attend an awards ceremony at The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida.
