On Saturday, February 24th, 2018, Morgan Financial will be joining nearly 1 million Americans at one of the over 300 events country-wide by participating in the Brevard Heart Walk in Viera, FL. The Heart Walk is an American Heart Association event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers: heart disease and stroke.

The American Heart Association was founded in 1924 by six cardiologists and has grown to be an organization that includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters. With the mission, “Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke” (American Heart Association: About Our Organization, n.d.), the American Heart Association has a bold goal of improving the “cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent” (American Heart Association: About Our Organization, n.d.). They do this is by improving patient care, advocating for a better health, raising awareness, and educating Americans.

Given that “Someone dies from heart disease, stroke or another cardiovascular disease every 43 seconds in this country” (American Heart Association, n.d.), Morgan Financial felt the need to participate in the Brevard Heart Walk. If you are interested in supporting Morgan Financial in our walk, please consider donating to our team. When you donate to the American Heart Association, your donation will help fund “research for new treatments, provide programs and services for survivors and their families, and help more of our loved ones lower their risk” (American Heart Association, n.d.).

This event is one of the first of many that Morgan Financial will be participating in this year. Be sure to stay tuned to our Facebook page for pictures on the day of the event.
