Around this time of year, there is truly a feeling of magic in the air. Now, this magic doesn’t come from the gifts under the tree or the wishes heard by old St. Nick. No, this magic comes from the good deeds and giving nature of those right here in Brevard County. Since 2010, the Warrior Misfits have seen and felt this magic from those in their community. This year, they hope to see and feel it once more in the toys donated to their toy drive.
In Memory of Gunnery Sergeant Raymond P. Lanese, USMC, the Warrior Misfits will once again be collecting unwrapped Christmas toys and gifts for Space Coast Veteran-Military families in need. These toys will bring light and love this Christmas to children ages 0-16.
The love and passion for this program can easily be seen in the eyes of our very own Holly St. John. With her husband, a Marine Veteran, in the role of Sergeant-at-Arms for the Warrior Misfits and her kids assisting as volunteers, this toy drive truly hits close to home.
“My husband is a disabled Marine Veteran who was deployed during OIF & OEF. The Warrior Misfits assisted our family during a time of great need about 2 years ago. We decided to join the group to help others and give back to a program that helped us when we needed assistance.” Said Holly, when discussing how her and her family came to be involved with Warrior Misfits. “This toy drive gives our local Veteran-Military families in need hope and joy for the holidays.”
Thanks to Holly, Morgan Financial is honored to have the opportunity to be a toy drop off site for this amazing cause. We ask that you bring your unwrapped children’s toys and place them in the bin located right next to our front door. Please do this before December 14th. The toys will be delivered the families here in the Space Coast the week of December 16th.
We hope that you may consider giving to this wonderful local cause. Let’s feel that magic in the air once more.
